VETERANS SERVICE OFFICE
With the changing in the administration there has been several changes in the Pact Act. The original preexisting conditions have grown, and new secondary conditions have now been introduced. Veterans with VA ratings should visit their local VSO officer to recheck their disability to see if there are any connection to new secondary conditions.
Any Veteran in the 25 Northeastern Okla counties can now get free rides to their Dr. Appointments. Discounted rides can be made for non DR. appointments with the participating companies. Call (855)735-4826 or Info@veteransrideconnect.org Website: www.veteransrideconnect.org for more information.
Simplified Travel Claims submissions now available on new mobile app. The app will automatically identify when a veterans appointment is eligible for mileage reimbursement and displays a prompt on the home screen. Visit the mobile VA health and Benefits page on VA.govhome/veterans affairs or va.health and benefits on google play or apple app store.
Oklahoma Veterans Center transitioned from the Community Service Council of Oklahoma. Now has Support services for veterans and families. Family support thru Support Services for Veterans Families (SSVF). For homeless or near homeless vets and families.
